A mantra to gain Victory over Death:
We worship the Three Eyed Lord Shiva, who permeates Divine scent all around
Giver of sustenance to all the beings
I pray to Him to enable me to achieve freedom from bondage of the cycles of births and deaths as the cucumber frees itself from its vines

Damaru, a kind of two sided drum is playing and to which rhythm the lord siva, the great dancer dances inspiring others like brahma, vishnu and also you see kali, the fierceful aspect of his beloved wife dance in unison.

    PRAYERS UPON WAKING

Before stepping on the floor, rub both the palms together, open and looking at them: first the tips of the fingers, then the palms and then the heels of the palms.

At the tip of the palm, dwells Shri Lakshmi
And in the center dwells Shri Saraswati

Oh Mother Earth! Whose garment is all the oceans and of Whose breasts are the mountains

    OFFERING PRAYERS BEFORE PARTAKING THE MEAL

Shri Vishnu is the greatest single entity pervading all the three planes of beings, and if He is contented with what is offered, all the rest of the beings will be contented too.

        Itignatwa Bhungte
        Annadosho Na Vidyate

Anna, the food we consume, is verily Brahma, essence of which is Shri Vishnu and the Enjoyer is Shri Maheswara (Shiva).
Thus, if one understands while eating the impurities of the food will not affect the consumer

Oh Mother! Providing over life giving elements (food), Who is ever full or contented, and the most beloved concert of the Lord Shiva, in order to felicitate to obtain knowledge, Bhakti (Devotion), Varrajaya  (spirit of detachment), please, pray, favor me with that food (sustenance) Oh Mother Parvati (daughter of Paravatiraja — Himalayas).


    PRAYER SEEKING “PARDON FROM THE LORD”.

Oh Lord! Please free me from the sins of whatever I might have committed with my hands, ears, eyes, speech or even by my thoughts, knowingly or unknowingly.

Thou art only my savior but none else, so Oh Lord, Janardhana (another name for Vishnu), please mercifully save me from all the evils
